Insulin Administration

This course will follow the established ISDH curriculum and will prepare the student for the secured QMA Insulin Administration Exam that will be proctored by Ivy Tech. Successful completion of the written exam will provide the student a QMA -Insulin Administration sub-type Certification; only then are they permitted to administer insulin in a facility. 

The All-Inclusive QMA Insulin Administration Course includes:​

  • A 6-hour course with 4 hours of classroom education and 2 hours of hands-on lab training with the QMA Program Director; the student will be required to have 100% accuracy performing the skill checklists for insulin administration before they’re permitted to complete their training under the direct supervision of the designated registered nurse at the student's facility. 

  •  All required study and lab materials

Tuition & Policies:

If the student is not successfull in challenging the written exam, Lightstone will offer a 1.5-hour remediation class at no charge to the student.

  • The cost of the course is $300 per student ($303.85 after a 3% credit card convenience fee) that will be due at the time of registration.  

  • Refund Policy: You must request a refund prior to class day. If you have requested a refund prior to class day there is a $50 non-refundable administrative fee. If class has started, Insulin course is non-refundable.

  • Tuition is required to be paid in full prior to the start of class. 

  • You will need to complete your training at your facility with an RN

  • Upload your ID, SS card, QMA certificate, and CNA certificate to your scheduled orientation. Once you have registered, an email will be sent regarding orientation. You will not be able to attend class without these documents being turned in!
